This wall hanging is inspired by the legend of Diarmuid and Grainne.  They fell in love and had to elope together being pursued by Finn MacCool.

Legend has it that Diarmuid and Grainne never slept in the same place.  Across Ireland, there are dozens – perhaps hundreds! – of so-called “Diarmuid and Grainne beds” – local places where the couple are reputed to have spent a night while on the run. The one depicted here is on the Dingle Peninsula and shows the "Three Sisters" peaks in the background.
